Weekend Links and Photos

You all made me hungry when you described your cooking and baking adventures in the comments of my last post. Thanks for sharing them.

I loved reading about every thing you cooked and am glad so many have enjoyed my Creamy Cauliflower CapelliniCongratulations to my giveaway winner, Rebecca N, who recently cooked…..stuffed peppers! Rebecca, look for an email coming your way soon.

A big thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway. You can find Jessica’s books on Amazon:

Here’s what I loved around the web this week (and last!):

Stick around for a few favourite photos from the homestead this past week:

grilled veg

It’s grilled vegetables galore! I’m still grilling up a storm and will probably continue to do so until the snow flies.

crepes

You all know this kitchen hack, right? Fry up stale flour tortillas in an egg batter and serve as crêpes for after school snack. Delish!

rhubarb

A late rhubarb harvest. I debated whether to freeze it or bake into one last glorious crisp. In the end, I froze it to be enjoyed over the winter and made a pear crisp instead.

kale salad

My lunches are starting to look very autumnal. This one was kale from the garden, roasted acorn squash, new apples, Parmesan shavings and toasted pepitas.

canning

I’ve been doing a few late-night canning sessions while dancing around to the new U2 album. This was peaches in syrup.

sundae bar

Noah’s birthday banana split bar was a total hit, down to the homemade chocolate ice cream and two-bite brownies from Janice. Yum!

Have a sweet Sunday, all!
