Weekend links and my favourite photos of the week
Our long weekend plans changed somewhat when Danny sprained his ankle playing ultimate frisbee with his drop-in league. Thankfully, it’s not to serious, and we’ll just have to slow down a little to accommodate. Not necessarily a bad thing.
We have a giveaway winner! Congratulations to Julie who won two cookbooks from Catherine McCord of Weelicious. A big thank you to all who entered. Weelicious Lunches is released on Tuesday.
Hit the jump for my round up of weekend reading, plus my favourite iPhone photos of the week.

So long August, hello September: iPhone photos of the week from the homestead.
Have a wonderful long weekend! We’ll be back with a great new lunchbox recipe on Tuesday.
Your home is beautiful. It looks so peaceful there.
Thank you, Marina, there are still plenty of projects in the works that are not so beautiful, but it IS quiet.
So glad to see that Clara knows exactly what to do with a carrot. The kids next door to us don’t. They don’t know what to do with a pea pod either. Very sad for them. Go Clara!!
They are her absolute favourite. 🙂
Poor Danny! (But that’s awesome that he plays Ultimate.)
Your backyard is beautiful, and your produce looks tasty!
He’s played off and on a bunch since university and find it fun. Too much running for me!
Aimée, I loved that kale article–thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Hope your spouse recovers fully.
