This project, spearheaded by the talented and driven Julie Van Rosendaal, is quite possibly the fastest concept-to-publication book in history (3 weeks).
All the proceeds of book sales will support Haitian relief via the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders.
Each writer has contributed their own recipes and photos for a total of 72 recipes, and local graphic designer Cathryn Ironside has spent hundreds of hours putting the book together into a stunning layout. The book is 7”x7”, 110 pages and full color with a soft-cover ($25) as well as a hard-cover ($50) option.

I am most interested in learning about organic baking. I am attempting to create my own Farmer’s Market stand this summer called Schy’s Pies for Peace. The plan is that my pies will be as local, sustainable, and organic as possible and every week we will pick a local non-profit to support and give some of funds to. It is a dream at the moment but the more the learn, the more I find that it can easily be my new reality.
I love what you promote, and the giveaways are all things that are necessary for the ambitious & practical host! I’m interested to seeing more info under “Entertainment.”

I’m most excited to learn about kids in the kitchen and menu planning and batch cooking! My oldest is only 19 month, but she loves “helping” in the kitchen as I cook or do dishes. And menu planning is my biggest struggle in the kitchen realm, for sure!

i really like the haiti cook book is a fantastic idea as well as the vanilla beans but if I had to choose between the two i’d go with the vanilla beans (and find an organization to more directly help haiti.
