“It’s like the Ferrari of pepper mills.” my husband remarked when first trying out the Fidji pepper mill from Peugeot, world-renown manufacturer of spice mills and grinders. Having worked in many a professional kitchen, I was familiar with the smooth mechanics of a Peugeot pepper mill, and it was quite a thrill when the company sent me my own pair.

When nearly every savory (and a few sweet!) recipe I make calls for freshly ground pepper, it’s important that I have a reliable mill with an adjustable grind on hand at all times. I can’t recommend the Peugeot models enough and have always been happy with their performance, both in the home and in the professional kitchen.

Ree from The Pioneer Woman has a new cookbook out, and if you’ve ever made any of Ree’s recipes, you’ll know that cooking from her books is almost as good as stirring something up alongside Ree at her ranch. Almost.

If I’m allowed 30 minutes to myself this mother’s day, it will be spent relaxing in a hot bath with some of my favorite beauty products: natural scrubs and body butters from Graham Gardens.
