Happy New Year – thanks for being here

Happy New Year!

There’s snow gently drifting down outdoors and we’re all still in PJ’s even though it’s after noon. I’m frying pancake and eggs and filling everyone up before they tumble out of doors to play in the drifts.

I like this slow start to the day and I hope it’s a sign of the year to come. We certainly would embrace a calmer 2016, but it remains to be seen when the year will hold.

I wanted to say thank you for being here. It’s been a slower year for the blog, mostly because I was juggling everything that life sent my way – a book tour, a family reunion, a wedding cake, a backyard wedding party, a car accident, my husband’s kidney donation, and my sister’s surprise preemie. To name a few.

Thanks for sticking by me through it all. You are the most supportive readers, and I truly cherish every response you send my way.

I can’t wait to get back to regular blogging in 2016; I’ve missed it so much. In the next few weeks I’ve have a couple of fun announcements, so stay tuned!

I’m keeping this short but be SURE to read last January’s super popular post 11 Healthy Family Food Habits to Embrace. I’ve reviewing them all over again for 2016 and encourage you to do the same.

  5. Happy New Year, Aimée! I’m new here and recently got your cookbook. The affiliate links go Amazon.com, of course, and because I now live in the UK I have to go to Amazon.co.uk to purchase things. Usually, I copy and paste a title, but I had a hard time finding your book because, somehow, I got it into my mind it was called Green Eggs and Jam Jars (Dr Seuss, anyone? 😉 I finally got it right, though, and was so pleased when it arrived just before Thanksgiving. Even though it’s not celebrated here, my husband always gives me a turkey crown dinner with stuffing, brussels sprouts, and corn-on-the-cob and we review all the things for which we are especially thankful. This year, I am thankful for bloggers like you, who share their lives and their hard-gained wisdom with us. Thank you and God bless! Hope 2016 is especially good to you and your family. -Michelle G [An American in the UK]
