Breakfast is always a rush for us, trying to get out the door to school and such. I have a few things I rely upon, such as making steel-cut oats in my crockpot overnight so it's ready in the morning (mmmm). I also use a homemade pancake mix from Nigella Lawson and I mix things into it as needed---such as blueberries, pumpkin puree and spices, and peanut butter (topped with jam). Lastly, I rely heavily on smoothies---we all love them!

I am the Queen of "grab and go" breakfasts, but mine is almost always the same thing every day- yogurt and fruit with granola sprinkled over the top. And it's not even in a cute jar like yours. I hadn't thought of adding cottage cheese to the yogurt, but that would add some protein- I'm definitely trying that. I'll also take a closer look at your list and maybe surprise myself with something new one morning. Thanks for the great ideas! :)

When it comes to breakfast, I am SUPER well prepared. I make a big batch of (DELICIOUS) turkey apple sausage on the weekend, and heat them up in the toaster oven. No microwaves allowed :)

Buttered toast, mostly. And a giant thermal mug of coffee, of course.

But usually we're not rushing out the door, so it's homemade granola---the kids munch while I read to them their Bible, history, and science.
